Abstract

The Tista Village community strongly supports the village to become a tourist village, this is evidenced by changes in community attitudes in maintaining the status of the tourist village, such as maintaining the village environment, maintaining cleanliness, maintaining cultural and spiritual preservation, growing community creativity and innovation to process and manage resources owned, and the most important thing is to increase knowledge and understanding in relation to hospitality. From the introduction, the problem that is formulated is:

economy in Rural Tourism of Tista, Tabanan Regency?

Tista Village has a very diverse potential to be developed into tourist attractions, namely the potential of nature, cultural potential, culinary potential, spiritual potential, and of course the potential of Human Resources. The development of Tista Village as a rural tourism can provide positive benefits to the community, especially the improvement of people’s economy with the growth of creativity and entrepreneurship of the community in providing a variety of tourist products and attractions by packaging into attractive and attractive tourism packages, so as to increase community income, preserve nature and social/culture, opening local jobs, and reducing unemployment can be realized. A qualitative approach with a combination of Focus Group Discussion is used to find models naturally in accordance with the conditions and potential possessed by Rural Tourism of Tista to get the benefits of its development in providing economic benefits and realizing a people’s economy. The results of data analysis will be displayed in a qualitative descriptive manner that presents the potential and benefits of tourism villages, the results of observations, the results of field studies, and concepts found in the field which are then interpreted by the Researcher.
